‘Days of Our Lives’ star Jessica Serfaty discovers tracking device in her car, cops involved
Jessica Serfaty faced quite the scare after she reportedly found a hidden tracking device in her car.
The “Days of Our Lives” actress recently discovered that someone had mysteriously placed an Apple AirTag inside her Range Rover, law enforcement sources told TMZ Monday.
Sources told the outlet that Serfaty was in her car in Malibu, Calif., when she opened up her phone and got an alert about an AirTag nearby.
Serfaty, 33, was “immediately concerned” and called the police, telling them she had never put an AirTag in her car.
However, when police arrived and searched the car, they were reportedly unable to locate the AirTag. It’s unclear whether someone took it or it fell off the vehicle.
Despite not being able to find the tracking device, TMZ reports that police are still trying to use Serfaty’s phone to figure out how to get information on the AirTag and hopefully see who allegedly put it there.
Law enforcement sources shared with the outlet that some of the theories on why the AirTag was placed there could include “stalking, burglary or car theft.”
A rep for Serfaty did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
It’s unclear exactly when the incident took place, but Serfaty seems to be moving on and is enjoying some time in Ibiza, Spain, per her social media.
Serfaty has previously made headlines over her relationship with billionaire Ray-Ban heir Leonardo Del Vecchio.
Last month, Page Six reported that Serfaty accused Del Vecchio of abusing her in an emotional social media video before she quickly deleted it and withdrew her allegations.
“Leo and I apologize for any who were triggered or affected by yesterday’s story. Sometimes a family can have their own arguments and these should never be made public,” she said shortly afterward.
The “Under the Stars” actress went on to say that she “revoke[s]” her previous video that was “driven by anger and not in truth.”
Serfaty –– who previously dated Ed Westwick –– got engaged to Del Vecchio in July 2023.
Del Vecchio has an estimated worth of $4.9 billion after his father, Leonardo Sr., died in June 2022 and split his earnings among his six kids. His company, Luxottica Group SpA, owns famous brands like Ray-Ban, Oakley, LensCrafters, Sunglass Hut and Persol, among others.
